hey there!

I’m Tayna.

As a ProDoula trainer, I bring the same calm, heart-forward support I give my clients straight into the classroom. I’m not just teaching theory—I’m teaching from years of real births, real postpartum nights, and real conversations with families who needed steady, grounded care. With my midwifery education and hands-on doula experience, I help you understand what’s actually happening in the body, how to support the whole family, and how to stay confident in hard moments. Through Doula Training Co, my goal is simple: you leave training feeling seen, supported, and fully equipped to start (or grow) a thriving doula business—not just “certified,” but truly ready.

SAY HEY!

Training Philosophy

My trainings are a mix of real talk, solid science, and heart. I don’t just want you to pass a certification,I want you to feel confident walking into a birth room or postpartum visit knowing what to do, what to say, and how to truly support a family. We blend ProDoula’s evidence-based curriculum with hands-on practice, real-life scenarios, and lots of space for questions.

You’ll hear the provider’s perspective, the client’s experience, and the doula’s point of view, so everything clicks together. My promise: no fluff, no judgment, just clear guidance, practical tools, and a warm, supportive space to grow into the doula you’re meant to be.

my teaching style

Real talk. Real skills. Real births.

When you train with me, you’re not just memorizing terms from a manual, you’re learning how the body actually works in labor and how to use that knowledge to help your clients feel safer, more comfortable, and more in control. I use real-life tools (like this trusty pelvis), real scenarios, and honest conversation so what you learn in class translates directly to the birth room.

With a midwifery education, herbal training, and years of hands-on doula work, I blend anatomy, intuition, and practicality in a way that feels clear and doable. You’ll leave with evidence-based skills, simple language you can use with clients, and a deeper understanding of what’s happening inside the body during each stage of labor.

Most importantly, my trainings are relaxed, judgment-free spaces. You get to ask questions, practice, laugh, and grow, so you walk away not just certified, but genuinely confident in what you can offer as a doula.
